Target Information
The REL gene encodes c-Rel, a transcription factor belonging to the Rel/NFKB family, which includes RELA, RELB, NFKB1, and NFKB2.
These proteins share a conserved Rel domain, responsible for DNA binding, dimerization, nuclear localization, and interaction with NFKB inhibitors (Belguise and Sonenshein, 2007).
