Product Specific Information
Reconstitution:
We recommend the vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Reconstitute with 250 µL ice cold, sterile, distilled water on ice.
Storage:
Store this lyophilized preparation at -20°C, preferably desiccated. Upon reconstitution, the protein may be stored at 2°C to 8°C for up to one week. For long-term storage of the reconstituted protein, apportion into working aliquots and store at -80°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a proinflammatory cytokine that can induce IFN-gamma production in T cells. The combination of this cytokine and IL-12 inhibits IL-4 dependent IgE and IgG1 production, while enhancing IgG2a production in B cells. IL-18 binding protein can specifically interact with this cytokine, thereby negatively regulating its biological activity.
