Product Specific Information

Description:
The eBioSN3 (SN3 A5-2H10) monoclonal antibody reacts with the human CD24 molecule, also known as Heat Stable Antigen (HAS). This 35–50 kDa molecule is anchored in the plasma membrane via phosphatidylinositol and is expressed by erythrocytes, thymocytes, peripheral lymphocytes, and myeloid lineage cells. P-selectin (CD62P) has been reported to bind to CD24.

Applications Reported:
Use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Pre-titrated and tested by flow cytometric analysis of normal human peripheral blood cells. Recommended usage: 5 µL (0.5 µg) per test (100 µL final volume). Cell count range: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.

Light Sensitivity:
This tandem dye is sensitive to photo-induced oxidation. Protect vial and stained samples from light.

Fixation:
Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-822-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days in the dark at 4°C with minimal impact on brightness and FRET efficiency/compensation. Clone-specific performance should be determined empirically.

Excitation / Emission / Laser:
488–561 nm excitation; 775 nm emission; compatible with Blue, Green, and Yellow-Green lasers.

Filtration:
0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD24 is a two-chain glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored glycoprotein expressed at multiple stages of B-cell development, from pro-B cells in bone marrow to mature surface Ig-positive B cells. Plasma cell expression is low or negative. CD24 is also expressed in most B-lineage acute lymphoblastic leukemias, B-cell CCLs, and B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas. It may play a role in B-cell proliferation, maturation, and autoimmunity regulation.
