The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene belongs to a family of bifunctional enzymes involved in both the synthesis and degradation of fructose-2,6-bisphosphate, a key regulator of glycolysis in eukaryotic cells.
PFKFB3 exhibits both 6-phosphofructo-2-kinase and fructose-2,6-bisphosphatase activities, controlling F2,6BP levels.
This protein is essential for cell cycle progression and apoptosis prevention, acting as a regulator of cyclin-dependent kinase 1 and linking glucose metabolism to cell proliferation and survival in tumor cells.
Several alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
