Product Specific Information

Monoclonal antibody 42D1 recognizes CD85d (ILT4, LIR-2), a 110 kDa transmembrane receptor with 3 Ig-like domains and ITIMs.
Expression is confined to monocytes, macrophages, and dendritic cells. The ligand is non-classical class I HLA-G, -B, and G1.
Interaction with HLA-G contributes to tolerance during fetal implantation and may play a role in organ allograft rejection.

Crosslinking with 42D1 inhibits calcium flux, enhances HLA-G tetramer staining, and restores stimulating activity of tolerogenic DCs.

Each product includes:

  • 1 vial of NovaFluor conjugate
  • 1 vial of CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer

NovaFluor dyes are not compatible with DNA intercalating viability dyes (e.g., propidium iodide, 7-AAD, DAPI).
Use Invitrogen LIVE/DEAD Fixable Dead Cell stains for viability testing.

CellBlox Plus Blocking Buffer (Cat. No. C001T06F01) must be used for optimal staining.
Add 5 µL per sample to antibody cocktails or single-color controls.

NovaFluor conjugates utilize Phiton™ technology, enabling engineered fluorescent signatures optimized for minimal spillover and spread.

LILRB2 (ILT4) gene encodes a receptor with inhibitory ITIM motifs that binds MHC class I molecules on antigen-presenting cells.
It transduces negative signals to suppress immune activation, helping control inflammation and prevent autoreactivity.
Multiple transcript variants exist for this gene.
