Target Information
BRCC45는 초기에는 뇌와 생식 기관에서 높게 발현되는 housekeeping 단백질로 제안되었으며, 이후 BRCA1, BRCA2, RAD51, BRCC36과 복합체를 형성하는 것으로 밝혀졌습니다. 이 복합체는 ubiquitin E3 ligase 활성을 가지며 DNA 손상 후 세포 생존을 촉진하는 역할을 합니다. 또한 BRCC45는 BID에 의해 유도되는 미토콘드리아 세포사멸 경로를 억제하여 항-아폽토시스 단백질로 작용할 수 있습니다. 대부분의 간세포암종에서 BRCC45의 높은 발현이 관찰되어, BRCC45의 과발현이 종양 형성을 촉진할 수 있음이 시사됩니다. 최소 세 가지 isoform이 존재하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
