Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, it is recommended to perform an additional desalting step (e.g., Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

The TDG protein belongs to the TDG/mug DNA glycosylase family.
Thymine-DNA glycosylase removes thymine moieties from G/T mismatches by hydrolyzing the carbon-nitrogen bond between the sugar-phosphate backbone of DNA and the mismatched thymine.
It also removes thymine from C/T and T/T mispairings, and can excise uracil and 5-bromouracil from mispairings with guanine.
This enzyme plays a central role in cellular defense against genetic mutations caused by spontaneous deamination of 5-methylcytosine and cytosine.
A pseudogene may exist on the p arm of chromosome 12.
