Product Description

The Urine Exosome Purification Kits provide a fast, reliable, and convenient method to purify and enrich pure intact exosomes from urine samples (250 µL–30 mL).
These kits also allow purification of intact extracellular vesicles (EVs) ready for downstream applications.
The purification is based on Norgen’s proprietary resin and does not require special instrumentation or precipitation reagents.
Purified exosomes are free from protein-bound cell-free RNA, ensuring high-quality exosomal RNA for gene expression studies.

NanoSight® Analysis

Exosomes enriched with Norgen’s Urine Exosome Purification Kits can be analyzed using NanoSight® to assess exosome size range and concentration.

Exosomal RNA Analysis

Exosomal RNA can be isolated using Norgen’s Exosomal RNA Isolation Kit for gene expression analysis (RT-qPCR, microarray, NGS) and biomarker discovery.

Exosomes were purified from 5 mL urine using Norgen’s Urine Exosome Purification Midi Kit (Cat# 57800), Competitor S’s kit, and Competitor L’s kit.
Norgen’s kit isolated 115 nm exosomes with a recovery of 8.36 × 10⁹ particles/mL without impurities.
Broader exosome size range (75–250 nm) and higher concentration compared to competitors.

Exosomes purified using Norgen’s kit (65–195 nm, 7.63 × 10⁸ particles/mL) were smaller and purer than those from ultracentrifugation (125–235 nm, 1.56 × 10⁸ particles/mL).

Kit Specifications

Storage Conditions and Product Stability

All buffers should be tightly sealed and stored at room temperature.
Kits are stable for 2 years after shipment.

Important Note

Urine samples stored at -70°C, -20°C, or 4°C may develop precipitates due to protein aggregation.
Removing these precipitates by centrifugation or filtration may cause exosome loss and affect nucleic acid quality.
Use Norgen’s Urine Preservative to preserve nucleic acids and proteins in fresh urine samples at ambient temperature for over 2 years.
