Target Information
The POLR1D protein is a component of RNA polymerase I and III complexes, involved in synthesis of ribosomal RNA precursors and small RNAs. Mutations in this gene are associated with Treacher Collins syndrome (TCS), a craniofacial development disorder. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
