Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic actin-binding protein involved in neuronal growth. It belongs to the drebrin family, which is developmentally regulated in the brain. Decreased expression has been linked to memory disturbances in Alzheimer’s disease. Multiple splice variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
