Target Information
Themis is a cytoplasmic protein essential for positive selection and development of single-positive thymocytes. It shows highest expression in CD4+CD8+ double-positive thymocytes and lower expression in mature T cells. Themis associates with PLCγ1 and LAT, and is phosphorylated by SLP-76 following TCR signaling. There are five isoforms of mouse Themis produced by alternative splicing.
