RAB30 (Ras-related protein Rab-30)는 소형 GTPase Rab을 암호화하며, 세포 내 막 수송의 주요 조절자 역할을 합니다. Rab 단백질은 GDP 결합형 비활성 상태와 GTP 결합형 활성 상태를 순환하며, 막으로의 이동 및 다양한 하위 효과기 단백질과의 결합을 통해 소포 형성, 이동, 결합 및 융합을 조절합니다. 또한 골지체의 구조적 안정성을 유지하는 데 필요하며, 세포질 스캐폴딩 단백질과의 상호작용을 매개할 가능성이 있습니다.
