RAB30 (Ras-related protein Rab-30)는 세포 내 막 수송을 조절하는 소형 GTPase Rab 단백질을 인코딩합니다. 이 단백질은 수송 소포의 형성 및 막 융합 과정에서 중요한 역할을 하며, GDP 결합 비활성형과 GTP 결합 활성형 사이를 순환합니다. 활성형은 막에 결합하여 소포의 형성, 이동, 결합 및 융합을 담당하는 다양한 하위 인자를 모집합니다. 또한 골지체의 구조적 완전성을 유지하는 데 필요하며, 세포질 스캐폴딩 단백질과의 상호작용을 매개할 가능성이 있습니다.
