Target Information
QPRT 유전자는 tryptophan–nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide 경로의 중간체인 quinolinate의 대사에 관여하는 주요 효소를 암호화합니다. Quinolinate는 신경세포에 대한 내인성 흥분 독소로 작용하며, 뇌 내 농도 상승은 간질, 알츠하이머병, 헌팅턴병 등 신경퇴행성 질환의 발병과 관련이 있습니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 여러 전사체 변이가 생성됩니다.
