Product Specific Information
- In direct ELISAs, approximately 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant human ADAM8, ADAM19, and recombinant mouse ADAM33 is observed.
- Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS.
Target Information
ADAM12 is a member of the ADAM (a disintegrin and metalloprotease-like domain) family. Two forms of ADAM12 have been described: ADAM12S and ADAM12L (short and long forms).
The short form is soluble and lacks transmembrane and cytoplasmic domains, which suggests different regulation pathways.
Both forms can be expressed in the same tissue, and the short form has been reported to provoke myogenesis.
