Target Information
Anti-human Polynucleotide Kinase (PNK) Monoclonal Antibody recognizes PNK, a 57 kDa nuclear enzyme involved in DNA strand repair processes during replication and recombination or in response to DNA damage.
PNK acts on DNA termini for phosphorylation and dephosphorylation at 5′-hydroxy and 3′-phosphate ends.
In human cells, PNK associates with nuclear proteins to prepare DNA termini for DNA polymerase-β and DNA ligase III actions.
PNK is essential for maintaining genetic stability in human cells.
