Target Information
RAP80는 아연-핑거 구조를 가진 핵 단백질로 처음 확인되었으며, 고환에서 높은 발현을 보이고 retinoid-related testis-associated receptor (RTR)와 상호작용합니다. 이후 연구에서 RAP80은 Coiled-coil domain 98 (CCDC98) 단백질에 의해 BRCA1 단백질로 유도되어, 방사선에 의한 DNA 손상에 반응하는 BRCA1 포커스 형성을 돕는 것으로 밝혀졌습니다. RAP80과 CCDC98은 DNA 손상 저항성, G2-M 체크포인트 조절 및 DNA 복구에 필수적입니다. RAP80 또는 CCDC98이 결핍된 세포는 BRCA1 결핍 세포보다 덜하지만 방사선에 대한 민감도가 증가합니다. RAP80과 CCDC98은 BRCA1의 DNA 손상 반응 역할 중 일부를 조절하는 것으로 보입니다. RAP80은 최소 4가지 isoform이 존재합니다.
