Target Information
HIF-1 beta는 ARNT(Aryl Hydrocarbon Receptor Nuclear Translocator) 유전자 산물로 구성된 단백질 계열입니다.
저산소증(hypoxia)은 심근 및 뇌허혈, 암, 폐고혈압, 선천성 심장질환, 만성 폐쇄성 폐질환 등 다양한 질환의 병태생리에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
HIF-1은 포유류의 산소 항상성 유지에 관여하는 핵 단백질로, HIF-1α와 HIF-1β로 구성된 이합체 형태로 존재합니다.
정상 산소 조건(normoxia)에서 HIF-1α는 prolyl hydroxylation을 통해 분해되지만, 저산소 조건(hypoxia)에서는 분해가 억제되어 전사 활성도가 증가합니다.
반면 HIF-1β는 산소 농도에 관계없이 안정적으로 존재합니다.
HIF-1β 이상은 저산소증 및 신세포암(renal cell carcinoma)과 연관이 있습니다.
