WAVE1과 WAVE2는 Rac 활성화에 의해 막 주름 형성을 조절하며, Arp2/3 복합체와 협력하여 액틴 필라멘트 형성을 촉진합니다.
WAVE1은 주로 뇌에서, WAVE2는 말초 혈액 백혈구에서 높게 발현됩니다.
WAVE3는 수용체 키나아제와 액틴을 연결하는 다단백질 복합체를 형성하며, 세포 형태, 운동성 및 기능 변화에 관여합니다.
