Target Information
ERK1과 ERK2는 광범위하게 발현되며, 감수분열(meiosis), 유사분열(mitosis), 그리고 분화된 세포의 후기 기능(postmitotic functions) 조절에 관여합니다. 성장 인자, 사이토카인, 바이러스 감염, G 단백질 결합 수용체 리간드 및 변형 인자 등 다양한 자극이 ERK1/2 경로를 활성화합니다.
성장 인자가 수용체 티로신 키나아제에 결합하면 Ras가 Raf를 활성화시키고, Raf는 MEK1/2를 인산화하여 ERK1/2를 활성화시킵니다. 활성화된 ERK는 세포질 또는 핵으로 이동하여 여러 전사 인자(c-Fos, Elk-1 등)를 인산화 및 활성화합니다.
