Target Information
The GRB14 gene encodes a growth factor receptor-binding protein that interacts with insulin receptors and insulin-like growth-factor receptors. It belongs to a small family of adapter proteins known to interact with receptor tyrosine kinases and signaling molecules. This protein likely has an inhibitory effect on receptor tyrosine kinase signaling, particularly on insulin receptor signaling. GRB14 may play a role in pathways regulating growth and metabolism. Transcript variants have been reported, but their full-length natures have not yet been determined.
