Target Information
Dentin matrix acidic phosphoprotein (DMP1)는 extracellular matrix protein으로, small integrin binding ligand N-linked glycoprotein(SIBLING) family에 속합니다. 이 단백질은 골과 치아 조직의 다양한 세포에서 발현되며, 적절한 골 및 상아질의 무기질화를 위해 필수적입니다.
다수의 acidic domain, phosphorylation site, Arg-Gly-Asp cell attachment sequence, DNA binding domain을 포함하고 있습니다.
미분화 osteoblast에서는 핵 내에서 osteoblast 특이 유전자 발현을 조절하며, 성숙 과정에서 인산화되어 extracellular matrix로 이동하여 무기질화된 기질 형성을 조율합니다.
DMP1 유전자 변이는 rickets 및 osteomalacia를 유발하는 상염색체 열성 저인산혈증의 원인으로 알려져 있습니다.
포유류에서 유전자 구조가 보존되어 있으며, 두 가지 isoform을 암호화하는 transcript variant가 보고되어 있습니다.
