Target Information
이 단백질은 2개의 EF-hand 칼슘 결합 모티프를 포함하는 S100 단백질 패밀리에 속합니다. S100 단백질은 세포질 및/또는 핵에 존재하며, 세포주기 진행과 분화 등 다양한 세포 과정의 조절에 관여합니다. S100 유전자는 염색체 1q21에 클러스터로 존재하는 최소 13개의 구성원을 포함하며, 본 유전자는 4p16에 위치합니다. 이 단백질은 Ca²⁺뿐 아니라 Zn²⁺ 및 Mg²⁺도 결합하며, 전립선암의 병인에 관여할 가능성이 있습니다.
