Target Information
Cytokeratin 18 (Keratin 18, KRT18, type I cytoskeletal 18)는 저분자량 케라틴의 산성(type A) 하위군에 속하며, Cytokeratin 8과 함께 존재합니다. 위장관, 호흡기, 비뇨생식기, 내분비 및 외분비 조직, 중피세포 등에서 발현되며, 대부분의 선암종과 관암종에서 검출되지만 편평세포암에서는 나타나지 않습니다. 간세포암에서는 Cytokeratin 8과 18만 발현됩니다. KRT18 유전자 변이는 특발성 간경변과 관련이 있으며, 두 가지 전사 변이가 동일한 단백질을 암호화합니다. Cytokeratin 아형의 발현 패턴은 다양한 상피성 악성종양의 구분에 활용되며, 면역조직화학, 세포병리 및 유세포분석에서 유용한 표지자로 사용됩니다.
