Target Information
CPEB4는 시토플라즘 폴리아데닐화 요소(CPE, 5'-UUUUUAU-3')에 결합하는 서열 특이적 RNA 결합 단백질입니다. RNA 결합 시 Venus fly trap 기작과 유사한 구조적 변화를 일으키며, 간의 ER 스트레스 적응 과정에서 단백질 합성이 억제된 조건에서도 CPE-조절 mRNA의 번역을 유지하여 UPR(미접힘 단백질 반응)을 활성화합니다. 세포 주기 진행, 특히 세포질 분열 및 염색체 분리에 필요하며, PLAT의 번역을 양성 조절하여 종양 성장과 진행을 촉진하는 온코진 역할을 합니다. 또한 멜라닌세포 증식을 자극하지만, CPEB1 및 CPEB3와 달리 시냅스 가소성, 학습 및 기억에는 관여하지 않습니다.
