Target Information

Component of the Integrator complex, which is involved in transcription and processing of small nuclear RNAs (snRNA) U1 and U2. The Integrator complex associates with the C-terminal domain (CTD) of RNA polymerase II largest subunit (POLR2A) and is recruited to U1 and U2 snRNA genes.

Function:
INTS3 is a component of the SOSS complex, a multiprotein complex functioning downstream of the MRN complex to promote DNA repair and G2/M checkpoint activation. The SOSS complex associates with single-stranded DNA at damage sites and contributes to cell-cycle checkpoint activation, recombinational repair, and genomic stability. INTS3 is essential for efficient homologous recombination-dependent repair of double-strand breaks (DSBs) and ATM-dependent signaling, and it stabilizes the SOSS complex at DNA damage sites.
