Target Information
GOT1 (Glutamic-oxaloacetic transaminase 1) is a pyridoxal phosphate-dependent enzyme existing in cytoplasmic and mitochondrial forms (GOT1 and GOT2). It plays a key role in amino acid metabolism, as well as the urea and tricarboxylic acid cycles. Both enzymes are homodimeric and exhibit close homology.
