TAS2R38은 쓴맛 인지에 관여하는 수용체로, gustducin과 연관되어 있습니다. 이 수용체는 위장관 내용물의 화학적 조성을 감지하는 데 역할을 할 수 있으며, alpha gustducin을 자극하여 PLC-beta-2 활성화를 매개하고 TRPM5 개방을 유도할 수 있습니다.
