This antibody detects endogenous levels of total TBL1 protein.
Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene shows sequence similarity with WD40 repeat-containing protein family members. WD40 proteins are involved in various regulatory functions including signal transduction, RNA processing, gene regulation, vesicular trafficking, and cytoskeletal assembly. This encoded protein forms part of the corepressor SMRT complex with histone deacetylase 3, and is located adjacent to the ocular albinism gene. It may be implicated in ocular albinism with late-onset sensorineural deafness. Four transcript variants encoding two isoforms have been identified. This gene is highly similar to the Y chromosome TBL1Y gene.
