Target Information
acnB는 짧은 사슬 지방산(SCFA)의 대사에 관여하며, TCA(acetyl degradation route) 및 2-methylcitrate cycle I(propionate degradation route)에서 작용합니다.
이 효소는 citrate를 cis-aconitate를 거쳐 isocitrate로 가역적 이성화시키며, 2-methyl-cis-aconitate의 수화를 촉매하여 (2R,3S)-2-methylisocitrate를 생성합니다.
AcnB의 apo 형태는 RNA 결합 조절 단백질로 작용하며, 산화 스트레스 시 철-황 클러스터가 없는 비활성 형태의 AcnB apo-효소가 acnB mRNA의 3’ UTR에 결합하여 mRNA를 안정화시키고 AcnB 합성을 증가시켜 전사 후 양성 자동조절 스위치를 매개합니다. 또한 AcnB는 sodA 전사체의 안정성을 감소시킵니다.
