The Human CCL-15 ProcartaPlex Simplex Kit measures CCL-15 protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits, allowing creation of custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation. When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one buffer kit (sold separately) is required per assay plate regardless of plex size.

About ProcartaPlex Assays for the Luminex Platform

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two highly specific antibodies that bind different epitopes of a protein to quantitate multiple targets simultaneously on a Luminex instrument. These assays require only 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and yield analyzed results in about four hours.

Technology Overview

ProcartaPlex assays utilize Luminex xMAP (multianalyte profiling) technology for simultaneous detection and quantitation of up to 65 protein targets in a single 25–50 μL sample from plasma, serum, cell culture supernatants, and other bodily fluids.
Luminex beads are internally dyed with red and infrared fluorophores to create unique spectral signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (e.g., Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Each bead is conjugated with antibodies specific to a single target protein, allowing multiplexed detection using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).

Unlike ELISA, the capture antibody in ProcartaPlex assays is bead-conjugated rather than plate-adsorbed, enabling free-floating reactions and efficient multiplexing. The Luminex instrument uses dual lasers—one for bead identification and one for RPE quantitation—to determine protein concentration.

ProcartaPlex multiplex assays enable profiling of numerous targets with less sample volume and time compared to traditional ELISA methods.
Multiplex panels are available for human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine samples.
