• Reconstitution: Add 50 µL or 0.2 mL of double distilled water (DDW), depending on sample size.
• The antibody is shipped as a lyophilized powder at room temperature.
• Upon arrival, store at -20°C.
• Reconstituted solution can be stored at 4°C for up to 1 week.
• For long-term storage, aliquot and keep at -20°C.
• Avoid multiple freeze/thaw cycles.
• Centrifuge antibody preparations before use (10,000 × g, 5 min).

Target Information

Aquaporin-8 (AQP8) is a water channel protein encoded by the AQP8 gene in humans.
It belongs to the aquaporin family of small integral membrane proteins related to the major intrinsic protein (MIP or AQP0).
AQP8 mRNA is found in the pancreas and colon but not in other tissues.
Forms a water-specific, mercury-sensitive channel that is not permeable to glycerol or urea.
Expression is limited to pancreas and colon.
