Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

The PPARD gene encodes a member of the peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor (PPAR) family, which are nuclear hormone receptors regulating peroxisome proliferation and various metabolic processes.
PPARs are involved in lipid metabolism, cell proliferation, and may play roles in chronic diseases such as diabetes, obesity, atherosclerosis, and cancer.
PPARD acts as an inhibitor of ligand-induced transcription activity of PPARα and PPARγ, and may integrate transcription repression and nuclear receptor signaling.
Elevated expression has been observed in colorectal cancer cells and can be repressed by the tumor suppressor protein APC.
Knockout studies in mice suggest involvement in myelination, lipid metabolism, and epidermal cell proliferation.
