Target Information
The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the interleukin 1 receptor family. Experiments with transient gene expression demonstrated that this receptor does not bind interleukin 1 alpha or interleukin 1 beta with high affinity.
This gene, along with IL1R1, IL1R2, IL1RL1, and IL18R1, forms a cytokine receptor gene cluster mapped to chromosome 2q12.
