Target Information
C1orf96 plays a role in microtubule (MT) stabilization, maintaining NUMA1 at spindle poles. It colocalizes with polyglutamylated MTs to promote MT stabilization and regulate bipolar spindle formation in mitosis. CCSAP binding to centrosomes and spindles during mitosis inhibits MT depolymerization, stabilizing the mitotic spindle (PubMed:26562023).
