Product Specific Information
- IHC (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature (RT).
- For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at RT for 20 minutes.
Target Information
ATG5 (Autophagy Related 5)는 자가포식(autophagy) 과정의 핵심 요소로, 세포 사멸(apoptosis)과 미토콘드리아 품질 관리, 항바이러스 면역반응 조절, 림프구 발달, MHC II 항원 제시, 지방세포 분화 등 다양한 세포 기능에 관여합니다.
ATG12와 결합하여 자가포식소체(autophagosome) 형성에 참여하며, FADD 단백질과 상호작용하여 자가포식 관련 세포사멸을 유도합니다. 또한, RIG-I 및 VISA(IPS-1)와 결합하여 type I interferon 생성을 억제하고 바이러스 복제를 촉진할 수 있습니다.
ATG5 기능 이상은 척수소뇌실조증(spinocerebellar ataxia) 등 질환과 연관되어 있습니다.
