This replacement antibody is recommended for researchers performing high content cell-based assays.
It has been validated for cellular immunofluorescence (IF) applications.
Further optimization, including the choice of appropriate DyLight-conjugated secondary antibodies, may be required for specific assays.

Target Information
SMAD3 belongs to the SMAD family of proteins, homologous to the Drosophila gene mothers against decapentaplegic (Mad) and the C. elegans gene Sma.
SMAD proteins act as signal transducers and transcriptional modulators mediating multiple signaling pathways.
SMAD3 functions as a transcriptional modulator activated by transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β) and is implicated in the regulation of carcinogenesis.
