This replacement antibody is now recommended for researchers who need an antibody for high content cell based assays. It has been thoroughly tested and validated for cellular immunofluorescence (IF) applications. Further optimization including the selection of the most appropriate fluorescent Dylight conjugated secondary antibody may have to be performed for your high content assay.

It is not recommended to aliquot this antibody.

Target Information

SMAD3 belongs to the SMAD family of proteins. They are similar to the gene products of the Drosophila gene mothers against decapentaplegic (Mad) and the C. elegans gene Sma. SMAD proteins are signal transducers and transcriptional modulators that mediate multiple signaling pathways. This protein functions as a transcriptional modulator activated by transforming growth factor-beta and is thought to play a role in the regulation of carcinogenesis.
