Product Specific Information
A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-45971 was sufficient for detection of RAB3D in 10 µg of A549, T-47D cells, mouse and rat brain, kidney by ECL immunoblot analysis using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 24 kDa and does not show cross-reactivity to RAB3A, RAB3B, or RAB3C.
Target Information
Rab proteins are low-molecular-weight GTP-binding proteins that form the largest branch of the Ras superfamily of GTPases. Located on the cytoplasmic face of organelles and vesicles, rab proteins are involved in intracellular membrane fusion reactions. They interact with membrane fusion machinery proteins such as SNAP-25, synaptobrevin, and syntaxin, along with soluble proteins NSF and a-SNAP, to mediate vesicle docking and fusion. Over 40 rab proteins have been described in mammals. Rab3D is expressed in tissues including tongue, pancreas, and liver.
