Product Specific Information

  • For IHC (PFA-fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
  • For formalin-fixed tissues: Heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

This gene encodes a parathyroid family protein. The preproprotein is processed to a mature form that binds to the parathyroid hormone/parathyroid hormone-related peptide receptor, regulating calcium and phosphate levels in blood.
Overproduction causes hyperparathyroidism, leading to hypercalcemia and kidney stones, while defective processing may result in hypoparathyroidism, causing hypocalcemia and numbness.
