Target Information
Steroid receptors는 리간드 의존성 세포내 단백질로, 적절한 호르몬에 의해 활성화된 후 특정 DNA 서열에 결합하여 특정 유전자의 전사를 자극합니다.
활성화 이전에는 여러 단백질(HSP70, HSP90, FKBP52, FKBP54, CyP-40 등)과 복합체를 형성합니다.
p23은 HSP70, HSP90, p60과 함께 progesterone receptor(PR) 복합체의 일시적 중간 구성원으로 작용합니다.
인간 p23은 160개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질로 종 간에 높은 보존성을 가지며, 산성 인산화 단백질로 여러 잠재적 인산화 부위를 포함합니다.
p23은 HSP90과 결합하여 PR 기능에 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 알려져 있습니다.
