Product Specific Information
The 2D10.4 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD80 (B7-1), a 60 kDa member of the Ig superfamily. CD80 is expressed by activated B cells, macrophages, dendritic cells, and activated T cells.
CD80 binds with high affinity to CD28 and CD152 (CTLA-4), playing a key role in T-B cell communication and activation.

- Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and tested on Daudi cell line (5 µL/test, 0.5 µg/test)
- Excitation/Emission: 488 nm / 710 nm (Blue laser)
- Recommended Filter: 710/50 bandpass (695/40 acceptable)
- Fixation: Samples can be stored in IC Fixation Buffer (Product #00-822-49) or 1-step Fix/Lyse Solution (Product #00-5333-54) for up to 3 days at 4°C in the dark.
- Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
CD80 (B7-1) and CD86 (B7-2) are ligands for T cell costimulatory molecule CD28 and inhibitory receptor CTLA-4 (CD152). Both are expressed on antigen-presenting cells and are essential for T cell activation.
CD80 is induced on activated B cells, EBV-transformed B cell lines, Burkitt’s lymphoma cells, follicular B lymphoma cells, T cells, and monocytes.
CD80 dysfunction is associated with gallbladder squamous cell carcinoma and myocarditis.
