Target Information
The SORL1 gene encodes a mosaic protein belonging to both the vacuolar protein sorting 10 domain-containing receptor family and the low-density lipoprotein receptor family.
It contains fibronectin type III repeats and an EGF repeat, functioning in endocytosis and protein sorting.
Expression of this gene has been associated with Alzheimer’s Disease.
