This peptide corresponds to a 16 amino acid sequence near the center of human LRRTM4.
PEP-1215 can be used as a blocking peptide with the polyclonal antibody PA5-21101.
Target Information
Leucine-rich repeat transmembrane neuronal proteins (LRRTMs) are differentially expressed in the nervous system and have been shown to instruct presynaptic and mediate postsynaptic glutamatergic differentiation, with LRRTM1 and LRRTM2 being most potent at inducing presynaptic differentiation.
LRRTM4 expression in mouse occurs in the limb mesenchyme, neural tube, caudal mesoderm, and three distinct regions of the head, later appearing in a subset of the developing sclerotome.
Its similarity to other LRRTM family members suggests LRRTM4 may play a role in the development and maintenance of the vertebrate nervous system.
