Target Information
Human follicle stimulating hormone (HuFSH) is a glycoprotein produced from urine of post-menopausal women with a molecular mass of approximately 35,500 Dalton.
HuFSH is a heterodimeric hormone consisting of:
- α-chain (165 amino acids, non-active)
- β-chain (115 amino acids, active)
HuFSH induces maturation of Graafian follicles in the ovary, promotes development of germinal cells in males, and activates cytosolic tyrosine kinase.
The hormone is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.
