Target Information
CD81 (TAPA-1, target of anti-proliferative antibody-1)는 tetraspanin 계열 단백질로, 대부분의 핵을 가진 세포에서 발현되며 특히 germinal center B 세포에서 높게 발현됩니다.
CD81은 다른 tetraspanin 단백질, integrins, coreceptors, MHC class I 및 II 분자와 복합체를 형성하며, B 및 T 세포의 부착, 형태, 활성화, 증식 및 분화에 영향을 줍니다.
근육에서는 세포 융합과 myotube 유지에 관여하며, hepatitis C virus의 수용체로도 알려져 있습니다.
CD9, CD37, CD53, CD63, CD82 등과 함께 4개의 소수성 도메인을 가진 세포 표면 단백질로, 세포 발달, 활성화, 성장 및 이동 조절에 중요한 신호전달 역할을 합니다.
CD81은 integrins와 복합체를 형성하고, CD19, CD21, Leu 13과 결합하며, chronic hepatitis C virus envelope protein E2의 수용체로 작용합니다.
또한 lymphoid cell line에서 항증식 효과를 나타내며, 종양 억제 유전자 영역에 위치해 있어 악성 종양 관련 후보 유전자로도 연구되고 있습니다.
