FBXL16 (F-box and leucine-rich repeat protein 16)는 F-box 단백질 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, SCF(SKP1-CUL1-F-box protein)-형 E3 유비퀴틴 리가아제 복합체의 기질 인식 구성 요소로 작용합니다. 약 40개의 아미노산으로 이루어진 F-box 모티프를 가지며, SKP1과 상호작용하고 유비퀴틴화 표적 단백질과 결합하여 세포 주기 조절에 관여합니다. FBXL16은 E2F1에 의해 조절되는 새로운 유전자입니다.
