Target Information
TCF12 (also known as HTF4)는 basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) E-protein family에 속하며, E-box (CANNTG) 서열을 인식합니다. TCF12는 골격근, 흉선, B세포 및 T세포 등 다양한 조직에서 발현되며, 다른 bHLH E-protein과의 이합체 형성을 통해 계통 특이적 유전자 발현 조절에 관여합니다. 또한 TCF12는 E2A와 함께 pre-TCR 발현 이전의 흉선세포 증식을 억제하고 T세포 분화에 필수적입니다. 최근 연구에서는 invariant natural killer T세포 발달에도 중요한 역할을 하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
