Mouse anti-Human TREM-1 antibody, clone TREM-37 recognizes Triggering receptor expressed on myeloid cells 1 (TREM-1), also known as CD354 or Triggering receptor expressed on monocytes 1.
Target Information
TREM1 (Triggering Receptor Expressed on Myeloid Cells 1) is a receptor of the immunoglobulin superfamily that amplifies neutrophil and monocyte-mediated inflammatory responses. It is activated by bacterial and fungal infections, promoting release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines and enhancing expression of cell activation markers.
TREM1 and related proteins such as TREM2 modulate inflammatory responses and have been associated with inflammatory bowel disease, leading to increased TNF, IL-6, IL-8, and MCP-1 production.
