Product Specific Information
Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

HSV (Herpes Simplex Virus) is a member of the Herpesviridae family.
HSV types 1 and 2 (HHV-1 and HHV-2) are highly contagious to humans.
- HSV-1: typically causes cold sores
- HSV-2: primarily associated with genital herpes
The virion consists of a large double-stranded linear DNA genome within a capsid and enveloped structure. HSV strains contain over 70 open reading frames (ORFs).
HSV infection has been linked to Alzheimer’s disease.
