Target Information
Cystic Fibrosis (CF)는 CFTR 유전자의 돌연변이에 의해 발생하는 대표적인 유전 질환으로, cAMP에 의해 조절되는 염화이온 채널 기능 이상을 초래합니다. 전체 CF 환자의 약 70%는 508번째 위치의 페닐알라닌 결실(delta F508)을 공유하며, 이는 비정상적인 염화이온 수송을 유발합니다. 흥미롭게도, CFTR은 Salmonella typhi가 장 상피세포에 침투할 때 이용하는 경로로 알려져 있으며, delta F508 변이를 가진 생쥐 모델에서 S. typhi의 장 침투율이 현저히 감소하는 것으로 보고되었습니다.
